Composite Design
Exploration
This project explores the theory and production techniques of composite materials, examining how their properties can influence product performance. In a collaborative setting, these principles were applied to a case study: a skateboard deck, which was aimed to reduce wheelbite using curving coupling effects. The process involved predicting the material’s behaviour, manufacturing a prototype, and assessing the design based on testing outcomes.
