Textile Design

Exploration

Through a combination of hands-on experimentation and digital simulation in CLO3D, this study investigated textile structures and how digital design can enhance them. Conventional pattern-making was replaced by advanced weaving techniques capable of producing four stacked fabric layers within a single weave, which can also be interlaced to create integrated connections between layers. Garments designed through this method were used to explore waste reduction, new aesthetics and structural possibilities. In the visualizations, the colours distinguish the four interconnected layers that form the trousers.
